Google Ads Mobile App Gets New Updates

In the SEO marketing world, many companies use the Google Ads mobile app to grow their businesses. Just recently, Google released useful features to help the professional SEO marketing community improve their campaign performance wherever and whenever they like.
With the new Google Ads, marketers can track and monitor data about fluctuations in their campaigns, as well as get custom notifications about the performance and status changes. Below is a more detailed overview of each of the two updates.
Custom Notifications
SEO marketers originally get notified from their Google Ads apps, but with the new changes, they can personalise their notifications and only receive the information that they want to see.
For instance, if they have a seasonal sale and want to get notified about their campaign’s conversion volume, they can program the app to notify them when a conversion volume increases by a certain number or percentage. For instance, one can set the app to notify them when the conversion volume increases by more than 10 per cent.
To set custom notifications, Google Ads users can go to their Settings page and click on custom notifications to personalise their own alerts. Their settings can be changed at any time.
Performance Insights
This feature will help many marketers stay ahead of their campaigns even with only a mobile device in their hands. Performance Insights was originally limited to the Google Ads desktop interface, but now, Google is adding it into their mobile app.
Moreover, the app sends real-time notifications if it detects important changes in the newly added performance insights feature. The notification will also explain the reasons behind any changes and even offer solutions to issues.
Professional SEO marketing consultants will need to download Google Ads’ latest version – be it on Android or iOS – to enjoy these two important features.
Usually, Google makes minor updates to their apps on a monthly basis, but that was not the case with Google Ads for a while. The app did not have any minor or major updates for the past three months.
Google has yet to give a statement on its lack of updates, but many marketers speculated that it was mainly due to the new App Store rules on iOS, which were rolled out in December.
According to the new rules, Apple is requiring app developers to self-report on how they collect data from the users and how they use the information. This means that the developers should also create terms of privacy where users can review how their information is being used before they download an app on iOS.
Since Google already stopped updating their apps, many marketers were thinking that the search engine company is trying to escape Apple’s rules, but that is purely speculation.
Google has recently announced to the public that they have no current plans of developing alternative methods of tracking its users.
For now, SEOs are hoping to see more Google apps get updated in the following days or weeks.
